Motherboard for DUAL Athlon

I'm about to buy a new PC, and I want to go for a Dual Athlon. Which
motherboard should I choose, any experiences??

Thanks

They are quite similar, but a rule of thumb:

Tyan for max stability/no problems, Abit for max performance and OC-features/lots of tweaking adjustments, and Asus somewhere in between these.
I have an Asus myself, but are having some problems at the moment. I think my MB is defect, and have returned it to the dealer. Hopefully they will fix the problem by replacing it.

Two very important things: Go with high quality (not no-name) ECC REG memory, and the most powerful powersupply available.

I like my Tyan board K7 I think. I didn't put my machine together myself
though. I got it from Boxx. I think everything but the case is from off the
shelf parts. So far everything is running well. I have had it for about 6
months.

Duel AMD 2000+
2 gig ram
SCSI 160, 36 gig (on main board)
WIN 2000 SP2
Quadro 4 900

But if he throws in "which MB should be best suited for IV", its ok to have it here 😉

I think he wanted to hear from IV-users, and none (?) of us are in the hardware group.

While this is true, there are some very knowlegable people over there and it
wouldnt hurt to have a well rounded opinion.
