Missing Face

I am getting a Red Cross symbol for a missing face, but cannot locate it to clear it. When I open the sketch doctor for closer examination it cannot be highlighted or located and cleared.

I have opened each piece in the assembly separately and everything looks fine. (No red cross)

Any Ideas on how to clear this.

I found the problem by deleting a single part at the time and then undoing if the cross didnt go away. Apparently it was a constraint issue that sketch doctor couldnt identify.

Jeff,

Is this on R2008? We have seen similar issues with error complaining Missing
Edges. Could you send me the files, so I can take a look and see if the
problem has been addressed in the latest internal build?

I am having this problem on every assembly that I work on. There is a red cross, and the sketch doctor says "missing face", however, when the sketch doctor examines the problem it says "Could not attach to face: face could not be found." and then there is no recommended treatment for the problem. I then have to manually go through the assembly and delete components to find the source of the problem. Once found, I can then delete the component and re-insert it. Then the red cross goes away.

I just looked at this model and I have no red cross? looks ok to me no errors

After posting the file, I installed SP1 for Inventor. After the patch, the red cross no longer appears. Apparently, this was a known issue that was fixed by the patch.
