Mirroring surfaces and splits

Grrrrrrr. Not possible. Grrrrrrr.
Ever feel like you've painted yourself into a corner?

If someone had been reading the NGs they'd have known that...

Annoying isn't it...

Workaround....Finish the 1/2 part. Derive into a mirrored part. Make an
assy with the original and derive again.

Yeah, I know - the 1/2 part thing would be good IF the part was truly
symmetrical.
I need to go through the pain of re-creating some cuts now.

A couple months ago I attended a users group meeting for a certain PRO
package. They said it was a lot easier to create all your geometry on 1/2
the part and then do one big 'ol mirror at the end. It actually speeds up
regenerations and is a more stable model. It sounded good at the time. 😕

I would suppose you now also know that they won't pattern either.

That ought to add some more fuel to a certain wild fire burning out of
control 😉

Is this why they went with Shape manager instead of staying with ACIS? 😉
