Mirror Weldment

I have a weldment.iam created. I need a mirrored opposite of this detail. I
can not derive the part and mirror it can I?

Yes, but it's a 2-step process

1. Derive a single part from the assembly.

2. Derive a mirrored part from the single part.

You will wind up with an extra part - you can name it XXXXForMirrored or
something like that.

Currently you'd need to derive a part from the weldment/assembly.

Then mirror/derive your derived part.

Please tell me in Version 8 that we wont have to do that. Would be nice to
mirror assemblies. Isthere a web address to post Wishlists that Autodesk
will see?

When I need to do this, I derive each part in the weldment that would be
mirrored. Then I create a second .iam with the part mirrored. It skips the
double derivation step.

"Isthere a web address to post Wishlists that Autodesk

Read Sean's weekly FAQ for the official Adesk IV wishlist URL.
