Mirror Question

Is there a way to mirror an assembly, sure would be nice
also any hope for scaling abilities in the future?

Derive the assy into a part file. Then derive and mirror the derived part.

I seem to remember that someone had a program to mirror an assy in R6. Wasn't from the standard IV gurus here. Might search the NG for "mirror assembly".

It basically does the same thing I described. Personally I'll stick to the
manual method.

It would be tough, at what level do you want to
mirror, your RH threads would be come LH on some of your components. You can
create a derived part and scale and mirror that. You loose the
functionality of the assembly.

In the end when we create a IDW file, the right or left hand threads do not show up with any difference, lets say we have two end frames that are nonsymetrical having 20 components each, that means each component has to be derived
separatly to mirror then reassembled with constraints, this
is quite time consuming, I was just hoping there was another way.
Thanks Juris
