Mirror / Pattern components looses constraints

Hello,

I have a sub assembly within a larger assembly.

When i edit the sub assembly, I place a component and constrain it.  

Then I make use of the mirror, pattern  tools to quiclkly get an arrangement of the component.

WHen i move the sub assembly in the parent assembly, the components loose their mates, only the originaal constrained component moves with the sub assembly, the rest are left floating in space! even when i refresh by using the Manage > Rebuild All command

Is there a way to mirror, pattern components, and have them stay fixed in the assembly theyr're in?

From what I understand there is no way to do this, I have searched around and seen this question asked in other threads and forums with everyone saying there's no way to do this at present.
