mirror feature

I have made a small model of a frame & want to make an opposite hand of it
(mirror feature) but do not want to keep the original model just want the
mirrored model.
can this be done?
this would save allot of time as I make complex sheet metal models & need
opposite hand models to.

Derive the part into a new file and use the Mirror option. You can break
the link but it will just be a dumb solid.
