Migrating Derived parts to 2013 - do not want to use derive from design view.

We do a lot of skeletal modeling with derived parts.  I like the new 2013 feature that allows you to derive from a design view of the skeletal model, but sometimes we do not want to use this feature.  It's easy enough to uncheck the box in the derived part dialog, so no orries in most cases.

The trouble comes when we migrate a derived part from 2012.  The link to design view is checked and the master representation is selected.  This includes makes the new 2013 version of the derived part include a bunch of unwanted surfaces, sketches, etc.

Is there a way to turn the derive from design view feature off by default when migrating files?

Thanks,

Carrington

Dave,

There appears to be no way to do this from standard out of box functionality. If you would like to enter a wish list item asking for this to be considered as an enhancement please use the following link.
