Merging assemblies from multiple projects

I think I'm missing something major when it comes to combining assemblies from multiple projects.

I've created a workstation in one project which contains an extruded beam which I've left named "Part1.ipt" for example.
In another project I have another "Part1.ipt" beam, which is entirely different.

I would now like to create a layout project (assembly), and bring together these various workstations. How can I overcome the conflict of multiple Part1.ipt? I don't want to rename every instance using Design Assistant, at least not until I'm finished with the design...

No easy way out... you need to change the way you work and go back &
rename and replace the files.

In projects, Inventor will find the first "Part1" and stop looking.

Thanks Dennis,
I was kind of resigned to this and had begun renaming parts already.
