Mates Help

Hello

am looking for a SW 'mates' equivalent.

I can see that i can add restratints (i.e one face in line with, or a set distance from, another) however would like to make two vertices on two parts colinear for instance.

Have tried for AGES to make them colinear.

Assuming you're trying to do what I think you are, you can use the Mate constraint, but select edges instead of faces which makes them colinear.  If you want them separated by a given distance, you'll probably need to create a workplane or two to restrict the relative movement.
