Make view precise

When I go to print drawing files I get this error message Views not precise! go to view content menu and choose make views precise. The only place I can find that has something close to this is in the applications tab under drawings. I have this checked and I still have this problem. It is so bad in some instances that the resulting print is un acceptable. Any help on this mater would be appreciated.

Thank You

Robert,

Right-click on the view in your browser pane and
you should see an option to "Make view precise" on the pop up menu.  You
should also be able to right-click on the view itself and it should be an option
on the menu that pops up.

The views that are not precise show up in red text
in the browser pane.

Hi Jacz32,

I wonder if the options discussed at this link would help you resolve this:

I hope this helps.

Hi Jacz32,

Is the Reference part Read Only by chance? If so that might be the issue.

sorry for the late reply we just had 2 days of autodesk vault training. that's going to be an interesting switch over for the company i am working for.

i managed to fix the referenced part issue. right clicked the part name in browser > BOM structure > default.

ill look into the raster view problem again sometime today. a whole pile of work just got dumped on my desk since i was away for 2 days with training.

thanks for all the help sofar curtis

I've finally got around to this file again. and guess what it works fine now. most views were precise as i opened up the drawing. the ones that weren't i was able to right click and make them precise and it switched instantly.

i guess this is one of those inventor things that only works when it wants to work
