am not sure what you mean by "keylock" in Solidworks.  I did a google search on this and didn't come up with anything.  I have used SW for 12 years and unless that is a command that has come out in the past couple of years, I have never heard of it.  I can read into what you are saying and it almost sounds like constraints   in Inventor.  If not can you geive some more detail as to what exactly you are trying to do?

Or use the Joint command, similar to Constraints (2014 & newer)

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

SW has a Lock mate (constraint) that locks the relative position and orientation of two components. Useful at times. You can obtain the same condition in IV but not nearly as easily.

Ok, I remember that now.  When you called it keylock it didn't sound familiar at all.

In Inventor, if you RC on a component there is a command called (Ground) .  That freezes the component right where it is.

Ground is not the same, using Lock the two parts can both be moved (if DOFs permit), they will maintain their current spatial relationship with each other. Ground in IV = Fix in SW

Your right, I guess I have been away from it too long.

Then I am not familiar with that exact command you are speaking up in SW.  What I can suggest is use a series of constrain commands to accomplish this.  If that doesn't work maybe you can place an idea in the Inventor IdeaStation that is similar to SW and what you are used to.
