Linking excel sheet to drawing file (idw)

Hi all

 

I am trying to link excel file to drawing file (idw), but couldn't succeed. Is it possible? if yes please share your knowledge

Hi!

 

If you are thinking about place one excel chart in the drawing, yes, it's possible, BUT, it will not be associative, if you change the excel, it doesn't update in the drawing.

 

You can link the excel file (not embeded ) to the drawing file, in that case, if you change the excel file, it will be updated in the drawink link, just because that, it's just a link.

In addition to what carloscarreiras8703 has said it is also a good practice to keep the spreadsheet file in the same folder that as the project, it make it much easier to find for both you and Inventor.
