Linked Spreadsheet

I am getting a message everytime I try to link a spreadsheet. It say's 'Variable name already used and Unable to parse equation. What does this mean? I tried this in a new project with only one part with no dimensions and it gives me the same message.

with out seeing the spreedsheet i'd have to say
that the same name was used in the first part or elese where in the spreed
sheet, each name can only be used once. check first spreedsheet for the same
name as in new one.

It also sounds like the parameter name is being
used in it's equation. example: Parameter name is Length. It's equation is
Lenght + .5. Just a guess without seeing the spreedsheet.

I recall seeing a list somewhere of parameters that
are used by Inventor internally, but can't remember where. You probably need to
find this & check your spread sheet against those. I think a good rule of
thumb is to use 3 or more letter names to avoid conflicts.

Sean,

You could also add the sheet metal parameter names within that document
to complete at iv std variable names? (as well as any others that Vault
may of added if any?)

nudge nudge wink

Kent
