Library is creating the wrong hole size on ANSI hex nuts

Here is another problem with the Library in R6. Insert any ANSI hex nut and look at the hole size. It looks like a pinhole through the nut. Every one I have tried so far comes in this way. It didn't do this in R5. Add that to the vendor field being populated with "autodesk" and the retarded server name being prefixed to the part name as things that make the library not very usable. The last thing I want is for my created assemblies to call out autodesk for the hardware vendor and the prefix adder has just made all the fasteners I had created in R5 unusable for new assemblies. They have the exact same file name except for this new prefix and now the library doesn't see them. What a waste of network space and a source of confusion.

I know. I know. We need an interface for them though. I do like the interface for the Library.

Boy, wouldn't that just chap a few hides? By the time they get the
library usable, Sean will have the entire user base converted to his
handy-dandy iPart library substitute.

Not just Sean... the rest of the usual suspects are all lending their brain
cells to figure out the best way to do this...

Greetings:

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried that "PARTS NOW" thing that you can get for about $50.00 from CADALOG.com? I've played with it a little in a 4 piece assembly (assembly model only)without creating an idw afterwards. It seems OK.

We had the same problem here. One out of 4 machines worked properly. We don't know why.

The solution we found was to clear the registry of all 5.3 references. We used Norton system works. That still didn't remove all of the references so we had to go to the resistry & manually remove all references. Then we installed V6 SP1. It has been working for 3 weeks so far. We do this on every upgrade now. We have now 10 machines that are ok.

Hope this helps. For the price of this software, we shouldn't have problems like this.
