Large deformation

Hello and have a nice day,

 

I'm currently working on FEA for pressure part. After simulate that part. Autodesk program give me this warning :-

 

problem.png

 

and the value of von mises stress is too high. Can someone help me with this problem?

Your forces are probably to big compared with your model, causing a great deformation and so ..no good results.

Hi!!!


This is due the force applied in the model: is to high for the structure.


Try to increase thickness of the wall, insert some reinforcements, etc.


Also, check if the material was well chosen. Check the force magnitude and unit  applied, make sure is correct.

Another thing to take note of, if your assembly or part is not properly constrained (ie. fixed or pined) causing the part to move or spin endlessly...

It would be best to test these parts one at a time rather than as an assembly.

Which part are you most concerned about?

 

But most importantly - where did you get this number for Youngs Modulus?
