We've seen that before, but supporting new or custom terminator shapes was
not part of this project. Essentially, the view annotation style was added
to make those annotation objects behave like others. With a few minor
exceptions, there's no new functionality there. It's really just a matter
of making it easier to make the kinds of changes you always could.

I was happy to read about the new style control for section and balloon
labels in the 2009 What's New. I've now installed and am experimenting.
We work with architects often that are used to seeing a view label and page
number where the view is located with a asection view label. Also views are
labeled with numbers not letters. Finally, they are very used to seeing a
view "eyeball" (see attached pic) for showing where the viewpoint is on the
base view.
Unfortunately, I was not able to figure out how to do any of these items
with the new style formatting options.
As far as the eyeball, this might be hard to implement, but I was hoping
that a custom symbol could be created that could be used as the section line
label.
Also, it would be very nice to have the option of putting the page number
where the view is located on the section line label. This helps the reader
immensely.
Also, on a side rant, I see that the balloons and leaders have still not
been "unified". There is still no balloon style that will give a horizontal
break on the leader line. Instead the line runs straight into the balloon
unless a horizontal section is explicitly created. Why is this? It is
pretty obvious when you have a balloon and leader side by side on a drawing.
It seems that Inventor could make this look the same thru the styles.
