Hi all, I have just updated to IV2008 from R7 (about time). I heard that
you can link the detail number from a component to the detail sheet. For
example, I have a small assembly of 10 parts. I have one assembly sheet
that is balooned with a bom. On my detail sheets, I have all the
manufactured parts detailed out. Can I link to the detail number on the
assembly sheet or do I have to manually enter that each time?
Also, if you do details of a weldment, you can select to show part detail when you insert a view. This will keep the item number from the parts list. See attached. There was a discussion on this not too long ago, but I can't find it.
