IV10SP2 : IDW Part Number iProp blank?

I've at last got around to installing IV10 and SP1 and SP2. However using the stock Standard.idw with no macros or extra Add-ins if I save a idw the Part Number iProp is not updated.
What is going on here??? Glad I've not actually started using 10 yet, found this out tonight after trying a few things out.

Any comments Autodesk? I'm creating a brand new drawing from the Standard.idw shipped with IV10.

Well, I quickly check and if I create new drawing, add title block with
(drawing's) PART NUMBER in it and save the drawing, it defaulted to the
drawing name. Tha's the default behavior for all IV documents. What exactly
are steps you are using?

I'm not a new user of Inventor (using since IV5).

I create a new drawing using the Standard.idw template shipped with IV10.
Then save this as Drawing1. At this point the Part Number field in the
Title Block is blank. Close the drawing and re-open and it is still blank.
I will try the File > New while holding Ctrl and Shift method to create a
completely blank drawing when back at home (haven't installed IV10 at work
yet) and see if that is different. IV10 is installed on a completely fresh
install of Windows2000 with SP4 slipstreamed. I installed IV10 and
authorised it and then installed SP1 and SP2 but ran IV between installing
SPs. I haven't got the Content Centre installed and have no other Add-ins
other than the Autodesk supplied ones and no macros.

I created a drawing using Ctrl Shift and New and the Part Number iProp was filled in correctly. I didn't actually create a title block with the Part Number iProp, just looked at the iProperties of the drawing and the Part Number was filled in correctly in the Project tab.
Could it be connected with not having the Content Centre installed?

Just uninstalled IV10 and reinstalled without the Content Centre. Out of the box and with SP1 the Part Number iProp works as it always did and the title block shows the Part Number even with my drawing template. I then installed SP2 and it's broken again!
I guess another uninstall and reinstall back to SP1 is needed.

Rob,
thanks for reporting this, I'll pass this to our QA and development,
something maybe in SP2.

Thanks Jirka,
I uninstalled and installed back to SP1 last night and the Part Number was
working again, so, for me at least it's SP2 causing the problem.

This has been discussed here twice I think since SP2!. It's a right pain.

Thanks Stuart,
I found a few topics on this before I posted but I was trying to find out
whether it always happens with SP2 or just occasionally?

It certainly is always! This is one of those nice examples of something that worked perfectly well, at least since 5.3 getting broken in a SP and costing you time trying to fix it. I always assume it is something I have done.......

Strangely enough that makes me feel better!! At least it may get sorted out
with SP3.
