IV10 Resolved Links

Hi

Is there a way of making IV looking for all instances of a (custom) standard part, when trying to resolve links.
We have just had the folder changed for some of our standard parts and I have used nearly 100 of a certain bolt, I seem to have to resolve each one individually. Is this correct or could I save myself some grief another way.

thanks
Bill

Sorry

Forgot to mention that adding a folder in the search paths is not possible due to the system being tied down tight.

Go to
http://design-excellence.com/courseware/Inventor%20Level-I/module1/index.htm

On Page 10, there is an image on the left that shows how to automatically
relink multiple instances and other files to the same location. Look for the
checkbox that says "Search for other unresolved references using this
location", and make sure it's checked.

You don't have the same part in multiple locations, do you?

Thanks for the reply, I've already got that checked, and I must admit that seemed to be what it was for, unfortunately it does not work.
My problem stems from a R9 assy, with standard parts in a certain location, before I migrated the assy, the standard parts location was changed without my knowledge, my proble is that my part has been moved to a sub-directory of the original location. I thought it would be a simple resolve link issue, but no, I try to manually resolve each part but I have over 150 of the little Bu@@ergs in there. Now I have made some changes to the assy and need to open the IDW and make sure all is ok, but of course I cannot open an unresolved idw, bit of a catch 22.
I would have thought I could simply add a new library path in the project but I cannot edit this, as it is greyed out (I assume because I do not have the rights to do this).
Are there any work arounds that you now of that might help.

Thanks for help

In the resolve dialog, browse to that subfolder, then make sure that
location is checked for search also.... does that help?

Another thought..... have you tried editing the project file with ALL files
closed in Inventor?

Is there an Included file path? If so, the library path is probably defined
in that ipj. Go and edit that included .ipj
