Item numbers blank in Parts List

For some reason the item numbers in my parts list are blank. All the other information populates.

I've gone to the assmebly and varified that the BOM tabs are active and there are numbers in there.

If I inser the parts list as 'legacy' it works fine.

I can't use the renumber function, it just makes all theh item number boxes go yellow in the parts list box,

Any ideas?

No,  found that in another thread. There are no balloons in teh drawing, but when I do add balloons, numbers appear in teh balloons but not in the table.

When you RC on the parts list and select "Edit Parts List" do item numbers show up there?

If so try selecting the "Renumber Items" Button at the top and see if that shacks things up.

Also, how was this drawing created?  Brand new with model to drawing relatinos or was this

done as a file save as.  Just wondering if the parts list lost it's connection to the assembly model.

Also, some images would help.

If I try to edit the parts list I just get empty fields in the ID column and the cells are all yellow.

I made it from a brand new drawing.

I can try posting a pic tomorrow but there;s not really much to see.

Yellow indicates duplcation of item numbers.

I would do one of two things.  Either try manually typing in the item numbers in the edit parts list dialog box and apply that, or delete this parts list and create a brand new one by reimporting it.

When I try and override the numbers, the number appears and then dissappears and the box goes yellow again.

I've deleted and inserted again many times and I get the same result.

COuld something in my styles library affect this?

I eleted a load of standard styles and created my own.

Maybe...

What style text is called out in the styles editor for your parts list?

'revision data' which = standard spacing, 100% stretch, Arial, 0.094in

Centred in both justifications and 0 rotation. Colour Black.

Perhaps a stupid question, but have you looked at the BOM in the assembly? Any anomalies there?

All the item numbers show up fine in there.

Then try this.  Start a completely brand new drawing and place a view with this assembly and see if you can duplicate the same effects with the BOM.

Well, I think I've solved it.

I reckon it was a bug int he template file. I created a brand new template and used the drawing resource transfer qizrd to move the blocks across and now finally it shows numbers in the table Robot Frustrated

LOL. In 2023 it's just one bug after another.

Hi Thomas,

I am not sure I understand your comments. Do you mind elaborating the issue a bit? Maybe the issue is related to the new BOM option introduced in 2023. Please open the iam file and go to the BOM table -> click on the gear button at the top right -> uncheck the boxes in the dialog.

Many thanks!
