Several draftsman have had issues printing existing PDF files that are stored in Meridian ( management system ). Files open from meridian but will not print.
These pdf files are created from a drawing file, and are created automatically when the drawings are released. They have to to create the pdf file themselves and then send it to the printer, which is slower.
If user modifies advanced settings as shown in the screen shot and select print as image, it works fine, but user doesnt think that this is the preferred setting.
Added that the pdf files are created from a drawing file, and are created automatically when drawings are released, if he has to to create the pdf file himself and then send it to the printer all seems well but thats a far slower process.
Not other issue found with Adobe or the printer while printing any other files except for the drawing files
Please refer to the screen shots attached for complete error messages and application screen shots:
Errors:
"The document could not be printed"
"There were no pages selected to print"
"A drawing error ocurred"
Any direction on troubleshooting?
Thank you.
Eunice
There seems to be lots of help on the adobe forums for those errors..
This doesn't seem to be a problem that was caused by Inventor..
We also don't know how your pdf files are "automatically" being created as that could be the problem..
was it working? what changed?
If you google "adobe reader a drawing error occurred when printing" there are TONS of solutions on the adobe site,etc...
everything from just a bad/missing font to selecting "print as image" for some older versions of reader..
What versions of reader are these users using? or whats managing the printing?
Not sure if this is better served in the Adobe forums but does not seem to be an issue with Inventor. If it is in your opinion please state them.

Don
