Hi all.
I am having issues mating a plate to some bolts. The plate has four holes in it and I am trying to mate it onto four bolts (well I only need two to hold it in place). The first hole to bolt mates fine, however the second has an error. This usually means that I have got different distances between the bolts, compared to the holes, however in this situation, it seems fine, so I am not sure why inventor wont allow me to mate with two bolts concentrically.
Please find attached the files for this project.
Another issue I am having is that my assemblies have stopped automatically updating when I change a child part in a different window. I can manually do this by going to file menu > manage > refresh, but would prefer it if this happened automatically again. I have not changed any settings.
Thanks in advance.
David, nothing attached. Also what Inventor version are you using?
Apologies. For some reason ie does not work for attachments on this forum for me. I am using Inventor 2012.
Cheers
David, I believe your problem is that the distance between the 2 longest hole sets is different to the 2 longest bolt distances. Do a measure and turn on All Decimals.
Then measure between the 2 bolts. I get 157.320508076 mm but when I measure between the 2 holes I het 157.321 mm. This is a common problem when you don't have All Decimals on.
If you mate between the 2 short hole sets then it works fine.
