I am having a minor issue with opening files from Windows Explorer (Inventor 2012 & Win XP 32). Before the update I was able to double click on a file file to view the file in an existing Inventor window or open Inventor if it wasn't yet open. I had also set this behavior to default for .dwg files. When first installing Inventor 2012, I made the mistake of not unistalling 2011 first, so I had some program registering issues with 2012 which went away for the most part after unistalling 2011 and reinstalling 2012. What it had been doing was ... when trying to associate any file type to Inventor through the normal means in XP, Inventor would never appear in the list of programs even after browsing to its location.
Now that 2012 is reinstalled, all the Invenotr files work properly when double clicked from Windows, but I still have the same issue with .dwg files. So I manually edited the file association by using the Advanced button in File Types and setting the "Application used to perform action:" set to Inventor. Now it opens a new instance of Inventor and does not load the .dwg file.
Any help is appreciated. And by the way, telling me not to open files through Windows is not help.

Applying it to DWG of course.
