Isometric Shaft Dimension

I have found a way to dimesion the hole of the shaft at the same dimension plane as the other dimensions that apply to the shaft.

The first step to the process is set a base of the shaft with a left side view. After placing the shaft then create a sketch in the object view making a reactangle through the center of the hole extended through the rest of the object. Then finish sketch. After that make Break out in the object view, select the object, then under the Depth category select the through all setting. Select your part, hit ok.

In your second step you right click you object view and hit projected view, from there you drag the view to you required isometric direction, hit create. from here you need to drag your new isometrec object view over to your main isometric object view and as close as you can try to over lap your lines.

After that you need to supress your main view and then you can dimension your new view from here you hide all your lines from the new view but not your dimension. After that you have to go back and un-supress your main view, after that it now looks like you have dimensioned the hole of the shaft.
