Isometric representation shows bottom of object.

Why is it that when I use <F6> to get an isometric view of my drawn 3D object I get shown the bottom of that object where I would expect to see the front(with the side to the right)?

that's the default ... from what I recall .. .I don't use the F6 option you could project it off a view in the direction you want .... there are Ilogic and over rules that can help you automate it as well ..

Why would it be default? Who draws Cheops Pyramid and wants to look at the bottom of it?

I've been thinking it is some standard setting I have wrong.

you probably need to refine the front/top and iso view via the cube

 

at least the ISO view ... I reset mine in a few examples so the F6 goes to the ISO view I want
