Isolate & then select inverse

Hey guys just wondering if when you isolate parts in an assembly if there is a way of them selecting the inverse?

I want to do this so i can then window select all the remaining parts and suppress them to create a new level of detail. In some cases having the ability to select the inverse of what you have isolated would be extremely handy.

It would be nice, if the Assembly Brower window followed "Microsoft"
conventions for selection drage/encompase window and "click - then shift -
click" selection's the same as windows explorer windows.
