Is there a parameter reference for View Representations

I created view representations in my assembly, for example a column with k-polates and base plates, the column is a FG part, so now i create drawings and place views on that drawing, what i am askign for is I want to place the name of the view representation in my view label as a paramater so in the event i change my view names in my model they update in my drawing, this is important because i can create a cross referance to my 3D DWXF file views.

Adrian.

Please review the below link. It offers a potential solution.

I tried it and seems to have deleted my custom properties in my assembly, and I don't see the view representation description, I do see the property in custom properties in parameter in the view label text edit pull-down and was able to place the parameter but nothing displayed on the label, it did not work. -- Adrian Ostrowka CSA W178.2 #8426 Mechanical Design, Coordinator | SKC Engineering P (604) 882-1889 | F (604) 882-1811 adrian@skceng.com | www.skceng.com This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Can you clarify which method you are using from the post? I tested using a simple example with the ilogic code initially provided.

Thanks,

Yes I tried the iLogic example as described in the forum link you suggested, I started a new drawing, added the rule as described, placed a view from my assembly and ran the rule, found that when i opened my view label text edit dialog window, I could see the new parameter under custom, I added it to the view label, but when I applied and closed the window, and there was no view name under the view label. I looked in my assembly under iProperties in the custom tab and it was empty, I had a dozen or so custom properties that I use to populate my drawings, I can re-add these so no worries their. It did nit seem to work for me, i may be doing something wrong. I am quite new to iLogic.
