I would test it first. I have some assemblies that R8 will not open. R8 also
takes about 1 minute to save a 1.3 k IDW. It's very slow for me. But it
opens fine. Maybe all these problems are unique to me and no one else has
seen this.

Good Luck,
Matt

There are some issues with migrated IDWs. If you do not have a sheet format
in the template some people have had issues. ADSK is aware and working on a
solution.

IMHO I'd hold off migrating over until they give the all clear.

No reason you can't install it and start playing with the features however.

My engineering department went for it, no regrets yet.

It appears that the Save Copy As DWG is still giving some problems:
1. Header text in title blocks is placed properly in the IDW and prints
fine from the IDW, however doing a save copy as to DWG offsets all
headers upward, while property fields seem to be in the proper position
in the DWG.
2. This issue has remained from the earliest versions.
3. This seems like it should not be hard for Autodesk to fix, since
other geometry translates fine.
