.ipt, .iam and .dwg path change - iLogic needs updating!

Hey there

My company has decided to move all of our inventor files from H: to G:
Moving all the files and such has been fine, but now we are in a situation where all of our files still "think" the iLogic rules are placed on H:

Is there any way to update them all at once, so we won't have problems with that in the future?

And yes, the template has been updated, so new files aren't suffering from it!

Best regards
Yannick Nielsen

Hi yannicknielsen,

It's not clear to me why your existing iLogic related files are refering to the old drive, but have you updated your External Rule Directory using the Advanced iLogic Configuration dialog?

If these settings don't help, is it because the rules contain a hardcoded path that points to the old drive?

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

The ilogic files shouldn't be pointing to the old drive (I believe none of them are written like that), but it is the old files (possibly 10,000 old part, assembly and drawing files) that still "think" the iLogic rules are placed on H

I don't recall setting up an "external rule directory" - Just adding rules and saving them somewhere specific
