Hello
I think this is what you are asking (correct me if I am wrong) I create a
rectangle in some quadrant of space in the part sketch and extrude the
rectangle. Prior to extruding the rectangle I gave each side of the
rectangle a dimension of 5mm and extruded 5mm but the corner of the
extrusion is somewhere in space. In my case x = 21.5mm and Y = 17mm for a
particular point on the bottom face of the cube.
So I presume you want to move this to 0,0,0 well the answer is no. You have
to project the 0,0 point (easy use the project geometery command on the
origin point for one of the build in sketches) then place a coincident
constraint between the point and the projected point and the cube will not
be on 0,0,0.
This brings up another point while I place a dimension on either side of the
rectangle its not fully contrained, it floats around the 2D plane space
until I apply a what I like to term as a locking constraint on it.
I hope this answers your question.
Thx

Can anybody answer a simple question.
If I have created a part, say a simple cube, somewhere in the drawing area,
can I pick up any corner of that part and move it to Inventors X0, Y0, Z0
origin?
Many thanks in advance!!!!
