Iparts to normal parts

Is there a method to convert Iparts to normal parts e.g. replace without
losing the constraints?
I have a huge performance problem with an assembly with lots of Iparts.. Its
running on a Dual xeon
2.4 GHz with 2Gig dual DDR mommory with a Quadro 900XGL Graph card. The
assembly is build with
Iparts and the total count is above 2000 placed components divided in lots
of sub-assy's. I'm getting a lot of
forced exits when I'm modeling in the entire assembly... I run Inventor 5.3
SP2...

Check out www.cbliss.com. In his code section, there is an i-part to normal
part converter. As far as constraining, I am not too sure how to accomplish
that. There is a way to at least keep the parts grounded with a sub at that
same location on Charles site....

Actually David that code is to change an Inventor Content Library part to a
normal part.

To change an iPart to a normal part open the child and delete the table from
the browser.

Can't seem to delete the table in a child component? How does one do that
and will it keep its constraints?
