I believe I have this same problem. I do not yet have R6 deployed but would
be happy to help in any
way that I can.
We see it with users who don't have write access to the iparts directories
but are continually asked to save
the members (and the factory at times)
even though the members already existed prior to their insertion. I
spent
alot of time personally making each member to get around the write-access
issue, but we still get
polled to save each time.

anyone know if there is a solution to this problem yet? I am trying to create
library of iparts on our server, but I want the factories to be read only.
Unfortunately, Inventor is always wanting to save back to factory after an
insert.
Thanks,
Steve
