Ipart question

Hello,
I am trying to teach myself Inventor and I am having trouble figuring
something out, your help is much appreciated.
This file creates a series of Table driven Iparts. What I am trying to
figure out is how to create text that is driven by the table the text
that is shown on the part "STAMP" i would like for this to be table driven
then I will use the EBOSS feature to add it to the model.

Please help me learn something from this if you can.

Thanks
Rodney

You cannot make the text a variable, well maybe with iLogic. The quick and dirty way is to make each instance as its own emboss feature then suppress/unsuppress them in the iPart table.

Hope that helps,

Ryan

The only way I've been able to do something like this is to have an emboss
command for each text option and then suppress all emboss features bar the
one with the text needed for that version.
eg:
emboss 1 with text "version 1"
emboss 2 with text "version 2"
emboss 3 with text "version 3"
... etc

ipart 1 has #2 and #3 suppressed.
ipart 2 had #1 and #3 suppressed
ipart 3 had #1 and #2 suppressed
... etc

This option is obviously not ideal if you have lots of options and/or
completely custom text.
