Ipart naming structure issue with windows explorer

I was wondering if there was any way of setting up an ipart where the children are not saved with all the special characters and extra long length. I am having some issues with it behaving within windows explorere. And example is: 

COUPLING [Thread2(_CO)PipeDiameter=1 1(_FS)2][Length=1.06 in][Material [Physical]=A240 T304 STAINLESS STEEL]

Create a custom column and set it as a "Filename" column. See image.

I called my column "my personalized file name"
