Ipart name in title block?

Is there a property I can access to get the iPart name into the title block?

I have 8 iParts for bearings with 20 versions in each one. I need to
create drawings of all the bearings. I use the method where I just change
the iPart and the drawing and dims update automatically. But the drawing
name is still the name of the master drawing. how do I get the title block
to reflect which version is in use?

Hi Robi,

Edit the table in the iPart:

1. Go to the Properties
2. Under the summary - say add Title
3. Now you will have a new column called Title
4. In this fill the 20 rows with the names of the versions in each row
5. Go to your title block
6. Add this Model property Title

Now every time you change the version you get the version name to appear.
Please let me know if that helped.

Raj,

Thanks, that worked. I'm curious though, I have a P/N field already but I
couldn't see it in the model properties. Is the way you showed me the only
way to do this?

Robi

BTW, my middle name is Kumar

Robi,

When you right click on the part component you will have iProperties. Any
field listed here would be available in Model properties in the title block.
I believe this is the only way you can get this.
