iPart member files to standard part files?

Is it possible to convert all the ipart member file of an
ipart factory to regular parts? I use some ipart fasteners
from cbliss.com quite a bit, but have issues with the
fact that they are all in inch units while I work in mm.
That issue being that some of the downstream software we still
use is not compliant to step standards (according to AutoDesk)
and outputting mixed unit components in a step file results
in getting fasterners of the wrong scale and placement when the
step file is read into other software.

Please don't tell me to use CC instead. That is not an option
right now. I also tried converting the units of the ipart files
to mm, but that was an utter disaster as none of the table entries
had the inch designation applied to them, resulting in total
failure during rebuild.

You can create a new Project with your iPart Child destination as the
workspace. It is then possible to open each child member and break the
link by RMB on the Table. Will this work for you?

Well, I tried something a little different. I just switched
to my Library project, opened one of the member files in
it's subdirectory, did a break link on the table (after
doing a part update which it seemed to need), then did a
"save as" to another location. Opening up the new part, it
still shows a broken derived part, but has parameters
(not sure I could edit those), and I was able to change the
units to mm and save it, though there doesn't appear to be
much I can do to edit this part at this point (not that I'd
want to). I attached a screen capture of my result.

Now, is there someway I can automate this on numerous iParts
and all their members?

No way, except possibly through the API
