Ipart Author not shown in Tools

I'm trying to add a new value (material) to an existing Ipart factory and
can only access Ipart Author through the Creat Ipart tab. Once in Ipart
Author and I try and add the new value I get "Cannot modify the library
file......."
Do I need to unlock something?

Create a new project with your "library" folder as the workgroup. Library
paths are read only....

a) you cannot modify library files. If the factory is in a path defined as
a library file you need to get out of IV and do 1 of 2 things

1)make a new project file that defines the ipart location as a local search
path or
2)move the ipart factory to a non library path, edit it, then return it to
the library path

b) to edit the ipart table you don't use the create ipart button. RMB on
the table in the browser and select either "Edit Table" or "Edit via
spreadsheet". I'd recommend the latter.
