inventro 2013/2015 mimizing closing problem

I opened up inventor 2013 this morning and I am having a issue with 2 things.

 

first all files when opened in the upper right hand corner were there is the Minimize ,restore down and close buttons when I click them nothing happens.

  • if i hover over it see's it because the restore will see it.
  • all other applications this is working so thinking a inventor issue
  • i opened my 2015 inventor and the same issue is there.
  • so not sure what the issue is.

2nd issue is on a specific file which was the last file i was working on last night when I closed down.

  • same issue with the minimize /restore down and close button
  • however this file has issues with when I go to the assy drawing and try to hover over a file that is not show it doesnt see it and or if I click on it it will go to the file and open it with in the assembly but the return button is greyed out and i have to close the file.
  • Also when I right click over the tree file it does not come up correctly.

 

I tried to restore the computer via the system restore but this was never turned on ( had computer hardware updated a month ago) so I was not able to restore the computer.

 

any thoughts.

have you restarted your computer? (just checking)

have you tried to do a repair install of Inventor?

yes restarted

yes did the reinstall/repair and it did seem odd as it only ran for about 4 seconds.  I would think the repair would take longer.

Please try using the Inventor Reset Utility for your 2013 and 2015 Inventors:
