Inventor won't start.

Brand new Dell Precision M50 laptop with a Nvidia Quadro4 700 GoGL graphics card. When tring to start Inventor I get a message that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I can't get to the tools menu to do anything in Inventor. My driver is the the approved one 6.14.01.4201
Anyone any ideas?
Steve

Are you running WinXP Pro?

Make sure you don't have any other programs running, inculding TSR's (tray icons). Also disable antiviurs.

Try to install SP1 and try to launch IV.

Try to install SP2 and try to launch IV.

Run a Repair on your IV installation.

That's all I can think of for now.

Inventor requires Excel for operation.  Excel
is used to read the spreadsheet with the thread information in it.  You
need to run Excel at least once before starting Inventor.
