Inventor View browser bar empty

Hi guys,

at my work place we use Inventor View a lot and for some reason when I view a multi sheet drawing  there's nothing in the browser bar (see pic) even though it's turned on. Have I missed something? I tried a "repair" of Inventor thinking that might help but it didn't. Also did a search to try to keep from reposting a worn out subject.

Thanks for any help,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for report.

Need more information from you, what's your inventor view version you use ? I try your workflow in my inventor view 2012 but it work fine. Can you attach your drawing here or send to Hongyuan.Li@autodesk.com ? I will double check it based on your drawing.

Hi Kevin, attached is a zip file that should include everything you need to open this drawing with inventor view or inventor if need be. Also I am using 2011, we haven't installed 2012 yet. I've attached a screen shot of the "about inventor view" pop-up to give you the build if needed. As far as work flow it's very simple. I wanted to view a drawing file from vault without opening it in inventor so I right clicked on the drawing and selected "view in window". The drawing is multi sheet but the other sheets don't show in the browser (see previous screenshot). Also we don't use Design Review.

P.S.. I tried sending the zip file with drawing and model in it but this site said it was too large. I'll attempt to send it to your email.

thanks,

Hi mwhite,

I got your files by mail and sorry for the late reply.

I follow up your workflow but unfortunately cannot reproduce your problem, see attached image from my side. In order to narrow down the issue i want to know that does all the drawing file (have multi sheet) in your side have this problem ? If you check out this file from vault, then open it in inventor view, still have this problem ?

hi Kevin,

I checked out the same drawing i sent you from the Vault, went to my working folder on my "C" (C:\Work\Designs\4293_HMI\4293-5000_Resistive) and right clicked on the drawing and clicked on "View with Inventor View 1.0" and got all sheets in the browser, like it should be (see doc1 attached). The problem is when I try to open from Vault (see doc2) I still have the problem with no sheets showing in the browser (see doc3).

thanks for your help,

Mike

Hi mwhite,

Seems there is problem with Vault & Inventor View interaction, I am configuring Vault server and try this workflow, will update you the result soon and give the solution if possible.

Thanks for your time and support !
