Inventor Vault with Data Standard

Hi all,

We've got the Data Standard installed on our Inventor and Vault proffesional.

At the moment we're testing the functionality of this and some strange behavior comes up.

Biggest problem is that a Check in is obligatory when placing Custom Content Center parts.

Which means that when we place from Content Center INventor is Checking in the Assembly, after which placing the part is a problem.

More bizar thing is that when we start an Assembly and we place a Content Center Part before we save the Assembly, the Assembly gets the name of the saved CC part (with the .ipt extension) and CC part does not get placed.

With other words: The Check In Check Out behavior is quite bizar.

My questions:

- Why?

- Is it a setting we can change?

- Am I the only one that's bothered with this?

Hope to get a respons.

Thanks,

Cees

Hi Falconeer,

I would would say it looks like the problem may be coming from the Project file that is being used. Maybe the content center location is not properly set, or the standard data is not properly defined as a library.

I also must be noted that the folder in Vault where the Standard data is placed must be defined as a Library Folder.

I hope this helps.

Best regards
