Inventor Template

Hello, I'm studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and I started learning by myself Inventor 2014. I got from the University the drawing template in A3 and A4 format, which we are using on our engineering drawings. I tried to use them in Inventor but somehow I can't get it right. I attached the A3 template, could you please help me with this one? Thank you.

Hi Curt,

you can set the dimension of your sheets like this:

For the border and the title block it's quite difefrent from Autocad, you can read a lots about it here:

In the link i posted before you can learn how you can create your own title block and your own boarder.

You can use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy your title block from autocad to Inventor during the creation of your title block.

What they were saying above about making a new title block is the best way. That way you can change the format of the sheet size and keep the same Title block. Delete everyone BUT the title block and go to the TItle Block section in the browser and Define a new one go to Sketch, then to ACAD and bring it in. I would suggest changing the Title Block to layer 0 in Autocad first or the title block will be Red and Yellow in Inventor. Note the Autocad much be closed to bring it in from Autocad
