Inventor Pro 2015 crash on first start

I installed AutoDesk Inventor 2015 Pro yesterday and after it was verifying the license I get the screen that I'm running a trial and that I can try the software or activate.

I can't click on anything because this is where the program stops functioning.

I do have a student license, it installed fine on my laptop.

Were you able to start up correctly when you tried it again?  And to verify, it finished the installation process, right?

I can try to recreate it but I'll need some more info first.

The problem has been solved.

A security update on Internet Explorer 11 appeared to be the problem.

When this update was removed it didn't crash.

The update was KB2977629.

Thanks for the information! Interesting to read that this was fixed by rolling back an Internet Explorer security update. I will forward this along to others on the dev team.

This is an issue that we recently discovered. That IE update stops the initial license activation from working properly. Currently the only workaround, to my knowledge, is to remove it.

Autodesk & Microsoft are currently investigating.

You shoud see the corresponding button in lower right corner of the post you wish to tag. Maybe it doesnt show on mobile site. Try switching to full site? Otherwise we can click it for you 🙂
