Does my Inventor LT license allow me to install it on my laptop (I have already installed it on my desktop?)

Are you on subcription?

What does your license say? (Help>About Autodesk Inventor LT>Product Information>License Agreement)

Hi tmccar and welcome to the Autodesk Community!

The short answer is yes. Each single seat standalone license has two automated activations and can be installed on a maximum of two machines at one time. And to say compliant, only one of those machines can be in use at a time.

If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you!

Another problem - when I try to download the 64-bit version, I get an "access denied" message.

Hi @tmccar,

Please take these steps to get the best download performance:

  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, remove pop-up blockers and allow access to all *autodesk.com sites.
  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, delete cookies, temporary internet files, and history.
  • Turn off your personal firewall or VPN, if you use one.
  • Disable UAC
  • Close and reopen your preferred browser.

You may also want to try downloading from our Virtual Agent. If the problem persists, please let me know. Thanks!
