Dear Support,
I have run into an issue when working with IPN files in Inventor Professional 2012, where the Record Animation function no longer works after installing Service Pack 1 and I was hoping you could help.
I was able to record Explosion animations with no problems before, but soon as SP1 was installed I cannot records neither an WMV nor a AVI type video.
For the WMV settings the Record button refuses to stay pressed after you select the Profile, and for the AVI the resulting file is 0 bytes in size.
No matter which settings I choose for wither of those file profiles, the recording produces no results. Also, whether it's a simple assembly or a rather complex one seems to make no difference either, and installing all the latest codecs produced no results either.
The only successful AVI I am able to produce was by installing Camtasia Screen Recorder Software on 30 Day Trail, but this is not really a solution to my issue because it will soon run out.
We have several test machines with the same Specs (below), and I have verified the fact that animation recoding stops working when SP1 is installed.
Model: DELL Precision T3500
CPU: Intel Xeon W3530 @2.80GHz
Mainboard: Dell 09KPNV A00, X58 Chipset
Memory: 4096 MBytes DDR3, PC3-10700 (667 MHz)
Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro FX 580, 512 MBytes
Some help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Vas

Alassandro,
This has been an issue since June. Is the hotfix available yet to fix this problem. If not, when does Autodesk plan to release the hotfix.
Best regards,
Hi johnweiss,
I think this hotfix might addresses the issue you're seeing:

Thanks for your help, but I don't think this fix corrects the problem we are having. We are just trying to output an avi file from an Inventor presentation file. We are not driving constraints. I will install it anyway and let you know if it works.
Thanks
Looks like that hotfix did the trick. Thank you very much for your help!
