Inventor Hole Standards, feedback required

Many of you on the newsgroup are familiar with the free standard holes
utility available at www.mymcad.com

We are in the process of updating it for Inventor 8, and now with the
redesigned hole dialog we are able to accomodate for countersink angle and
drill-point angle and have therefore added these additional columns to the
spreadsheet "holes.xls" that comes with the utility. Should these values be
left blank in the spreadsheet to be filled out by each user or is there a
consensus as to what we should put for these values?

If desired, you can email me directly.

90° countersink is metric standard, 82° is imperial csink standard.
Standard drill point angle is 118° (unless you try to sharpen them yourself
:).

Thank you Ryan for making this effort!
90° (and 82°) will be fine by me.

Routines like making standard holes, springs etc. are the things I really
want to see in Inventor. I guess I could use MDT ........ 😉

Christian.

Depends on how many you've sharpened. A test I used to give machinist before
I hired them was to sharpen a 1/16 drill.
