Inventor/Fusion can handle Step/STP extension files?

Hy. I'm a Revit MEP design engineer and I need to import into my families some  files coming with .STEP file extension. All seems fine by opening them in Inventor.. save them as dwg and import them later in Revit.

- other formats (.adsk; .sat) give broken geometry and seems to be a real nightmare.

But my major problem are color (materials). I wish to be able to edit the .STEP file in terms of main color (which should be imported) and few geometry work.

Inventor is capable to do this ? And what happened to Fusion for Inventor 2015?

Thanks!

You can change color by body or by individual faces (properties), but you might need to Strip Overrides.

Inventor Fusion has been discontinued - "replaced" by Fusion 360 product.
