Inventor FEA, calculation of safety factor

Hello to everyone,

 

I need help in the calculation of safety factor, because it`s nedeed to be the value more then 6 and i have only 0,.....

I have a prosthetic elbow and the material its titanium or Ti6Al4V or stainless steell and the force aplied it`s diferent every time (500 N, 100 N, 20 N)

I don`t know where is the problem.

 

Somebody help me please because my paper work at the master depends on it......

You never attached the part file named Proteza 1.ipt

Where is that file?

 

Are there 2 parts or 3 parts to the assembly?  (The assembly file you attatched indicates 3 parts.)

The assembly have 3 parts two is from metal and one is from polietilen the small one i give you all i think

There appears to be some interference between two of your parts.

I would expect them to be in contact - but without interference?

This isn't an FEA problem - this is a basic geometry problem.

 

I don't understand why you can't see that the parts don't fit together?

Given your limited experience with modeling and with assemblies - I am going to suggest that maybe you should switch to a more basic problem.

 

Maybe something like the attached - show how the Inventor FEA results are the same as the hand calculations.

JD is trying to politely tell you that he's not going to do your homework for you, and he's also trying to politely suggest that you get some help from your professor, who is the person that is presumably getting paid quite a sizeable sum of money to teach you these things.
