inventor dont start up

Hi,

I have this problem that if i start up inventor 2015, it won't start up...

The other programs like Recap works.

i fount on another site that is should look in a folder where i found this:

8304 2015/01/21 21:35:11 ComputerName=002-LT-ORA

The most common cause for Inventor not launching properly is the corruption of the local environment. Please use the Inventor Reset Utility to repair it:

Hi! Could you be more specific on what you meant by "Inventor not starting up"? Do you see the splash screen and then Inventor just hangs? Or nothing ever happens after you launch Inventor?

If nothing works, it is possible the security profile or something is blocking Inventor Homepage to start up. Close Inventor and launch regedit.exe and go to the following registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion19.0\System\Preferences\File and find "ShowHomeBaseOnStartup"

Change its value from 1 to 0.

Restart Inventor. Let me know if it works.

If i start up inventor 2015 just nothing happends.

When i start inventor 2014 i get this error : can't start the progam correct (0xc0000142.)

maybe this has also something to do with the error of 2015 ?


I cant find the file u say i have looked in al the maps of preferences.

Hi! Your English is perfectly clear. I just want to make sure I understand the issue clearly. There migh be different causes leading to similar behaviors. The solutions will be different too.

Based on your description, it sounds more like Inventor was not properly installed. Are you on 64-bit system or 32-bit system? Could you go to the following folders and see if you can find Inventor.exe and a bunch of dll files?

64-bit

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2015\Bin\

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Bin\

32-bit

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Inventor 2015\Bin\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Bin\
